Concerning the Music of 2023
The good stuff, released in the year 2023, or thereabouts. Arranged very specifically, in no particular order. Expect guitars, jazz, space jambs, fizz bops, bleep outs, dreamers, droners, whirlyjigs, and rock scissor hammer times. You know the deal.
Another year, another playlist. We got ambitious these past twelve months and so ended up in the 777 song range. That said, there’s a stronger element of categorization going on this year, with a large mid section devoted to your more uptempo guitar-centric bangers, and heavy chunks of jazz peppered throughout. And yeah, there’s still a lot of extended folky, fingerpicking, singer-songwriter jams to be found in the mix as well.
If you have 50 hours to spare, you can listen to the whole thing unfold. If you’re a normal human being, jump around. Jump up, jump up, and get down.
