Group Work
Random Order Sound Collective
A collective of four curious minded individuals spread far and wide over the globe who like to experiment with sound art and collage.
I was collaborating with this group from around 2014 to some time in 2016, participating in sound art projects and open calls. Below are some compositions I worked on, and you can find more Random Order goodness by visiting the archive here.
Secret Cinema Star Wars Installation
This one is part of a three-piece work, based around the life cycle of the Death Star (creation, use, destruction). I worked on the second part, which you can listen to here.
Psychollage XXi
These were made for two different occasions, one was for a ten-channel/ten-speaker installation in Berlin, Germany (USAP), and the other was for the annual Sonic Vigil experimental sound/music festival in Cork, Ireland. The idea was to make a piece using sounds and dialog associated with psychotherapy. The USAP version was something of a calamity as the ten-channel rig was malfunctioning and the balances were all wonky (at east on that one day in James-Simon Park), but I think it works well enough without all the bells and whistles.
Cities and Memory
Here are some compositions I worked on for Stuart Fowkes’ Cities and Memory project. Fowkes regularly collects field recordings from around the world and has people remix these recordings into some interesting pieces. The Utopia composition was a little different since it was, as Willy Wonka sez, pure imagination.
